Ed Sheeran on the scariest thing he did during his year off

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed details of the scariest thing he did during his 12-month hiatus

During a new interview with BBC Radio 1 this week, the star explained that he had a very adventurous time on his year off:

“The scariest thing was I was in Queenstown in New Zealand and they were like: ‘Shall we go on a bungee jump?’ Then for the next month I had a dream of falling but I did do it. Peter Jackson collects World War planes and he strapped me to the front of one standing up and flew me around. Oh, and I swum with bull sharks."

He returned to music on Friday with not one, but two brand new singles and confessed that 'Shape Of You' was initially going to be for Rihanna: "I started singing lyrics like 'putting Van The Man on the jukebox' and I was like 'well she's not really going to sing that, is she?' And then we sort of decided halfway through that we were just going to make it for me."
