Ed Sheeran announces one-off homecoming show

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has confirmed details of a one-off homecoming show that will take place later this year at a very unusual venue in the UK.

The 'Lego House' superstar shared the exciting news with his 1.1 million followers on Twitter earlier today (January 9) and wrote, "I'm playing my homecoming show on the 12th of July. Thetford Forest! Tickets go on sale 9am friday morning".

His live set, which will be part of the Forestry Comission's Live Music series, will follow a run of dates based in central Europe and Sheeran explained to Capital FM that it will be a special gig:

"I am delighted to confirm this gig as my only East Anglian date in 2012. It will be a forest first for me and I can't wait to get on stage amongst the trees and perform in such a unique place."
