Flame-haired hitmaker Ed Sheeran has teased details of a brand new collaboration.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier this evening (September 14), he revealed to his 3.2 million followers that he spent time this week recording a duet with someone he admires:

"Made a tune with one of my favourite artists this week, happy times."

When asked by the singer of metal band Hadouken! if the unnamed artist was Van Morrison, Sheeran replied: "Nah, but that would be pretty sweet. I'll track him down eventually."

Last month, he confirmed that he has also worked on a track with country-pop sweetheart Taylor Swift and described the partnership as "a great experience".
