Ed Sheeran: 'Working with Taylor Swift has opened unexpected doors for me'

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that collaborating with Taylor Swift on her new album, 'Red', has brought him opportunities he never expected to have.

In an interview with MTV News, the flame-haired hitmaker explained that it's opened him up to a new audience and has presented him with new experiences that he is 'grabbing with both hands':

"I think Taylor's just opening up a lot of doors and it's up to me to make sure that I get through to them. It's a massive opportunity for me and I want to make sure to grab it with both hands ... it will be exciting to be back in a situation where I'm playing in front of people who are complete strangers and I have to win them over."

Last week, Sheeran confirmed via his official Twitter page that he will be Swift's main support act on her 2013 tour to promote the record and he admitted that being on the road for a solid 6 months will be something very new to him:

"I've never gone on tour for six months without any break. I've never really touched multiple arenas, so that' going to be a bit mind-blowing."
