Ed Sheeran has admitted that he was left a little worse for wear after spending time with The Wanted.

The two British acts got together in the US recently to have a few drinks after Ed Sheeran found out he was nominated for a 2013 Grammy.

Speaking to MTV, Sheeran said that he ended up somewhat squiffy after being "kidnapped" by the boyband on the road. The 'A Team' man said:

"I got kidnapped by The Wanted boys. They took me on their tour bus and I found out after six or seven beers, which for me, I'm a very cheap date. I can't really handle too many beers."

He continued: "I had bruises on me and stuff. I didn't know where they'd come from. It was a pretty mental night."

The Wanted's Tom Parker meanwhile previously spoke out about their night together, revealing: "Ed Sheeran is the craziest ginger mother f***** I've ever seen. He is wild. He was just on the tour bus getting pissed and then Max took a picture of him asleep in the bunk passed out."
