Ed Sheeran has admitted that he was once snubbed by Katy Perry because he was too sweaty.

The singer-songwriter told The Sun that he often perspires a lot when he is performing live.

He revealed that a recent encounter post-gig with Katy Perry ended in disappointment due to his sweaty body. Sheeran said:

"I sweat a lot on stage and did a show in Canada. I played the set, stormed it, sweated a lot, got off stage and bumped into Katy Perry. I was like, 'All right Katy Perry, how are you?'. She said, 'I came to your show and I love your album. I was gonna give you a hug, but eeugh!' and went. That was my chance ruined because I sweated so much."

As previously reported, Ed Sheeran has revealed that he will be performing with Sir Elton John at this year's Grammys.

He will play the Los Angeles event on February 10 and sees his 'The A Team' song nominated for the Song of the Year award.
