Ed Sheeran Sells Out Madison Square Garden in 3 Minutes

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that his upcoming concert at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden venue went on sale today (August 23) and sold out in an incredibly short amount of time.

He will perform at the legendary arena on November 1 and took to his official Twitter page this evening to confess that he is overwhelmed at how quickly they managed to shift all of the tickets.

"So Madison square garden sold out in 3 minutes. Mental. Here's some more news... I'm very happy to announce a 2nd date at MSG on October the 29th. Tickets go on sale after labour day x," he wrote.

Sheeran then returned to the social networking sites to warn fans against buying tickets from unauthorised sellers and added: "Please don't buy tickets from 3rd parties x".

The immense popularity encouraged promoters to put on a second show at the location and he will now also be playing there on October 29.
