Ed Sheeran plans to 'release three albums in three years'

'Lego House' superstar Ed Sheeran has confirmed that he has so much material to work with that he intends to release a trio of full-length albums over the next three years in order to share all of the songs.

The hitmaker made the confession during an interview with Rolling Stone where he went into detail about his recent songwriting spree, in which he explained that he has penned around 70 tracks to date:

"I've demoed 70 songs. I'm hoping to release three [albums] in three years. I've got the whole months of October and November to decide what to do."

Sheeran also teased that he's been working with producer Rick Rubin, who has provided him with some great advice and direction although he still isn't sure how his new record will sound: "He's been a very, very helpful guy... But as far as the record is concerned, production-wise, I don't really know where I'm gonna go with it yet."

The star also recently admitted that he submitted three songs to be considered for the 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' soundtrack although they were all rejected in favour of other bands and artists.
