Ed Sheeran: 'My new album won't have a normal title'

'Lego House' superstar Ed Sheeran has confessed that his upcoming sophomore album is unlikely to have an ordinary name because his debut offering was titled '+'.

Speaking to Britain's Daily Star, the singer-songwriter explained that he has ambitious plans for the record's name: "I can't call an album + and then give the one after a regular name."

Last week, Sheeran confirmed that he has written around 70 tracks for the new albumso creativity hasn't been an issue this time around. He also teased that there are going to be 12 songs on the final tracklisting: "I’ve had to whittle 70 songs down to 12."

While he's yet to tell fans the release date of the offering, he did admit that he has been in the studio with Pharrell Williams and he tweeted: ""Finished up 2 days with @Pharrell. Sounding nuts."

Meanwhile, Sheeran will perform two dates at New York City's iconic Madison Square Garden later this month, the latter of which he sold out in just three minutes.
