Ed Sheeran announces intimate NYC show and shares rules for gig goers

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he will perform a special Halloween concert in Manhattan on October 31 for a small audience.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier this morning (October 29), the 'Lego House' superstar explained that he will be hosting an intimate gig at New York's Mercury Lounge and only around 200 fans will be able to attend:

"Playing the Mercury Lounge the day before my second show at Madison Square Garden..."

Sheeran confessed that the venue is particularly special to him because it's where he first performed live in the city: "This was my first New York show a year and a half ago and is around 200 capacity."

He then returned to the social networking site and added that there's a rule for people who want to come: "If you're coming to the Mercury Lounge show on the 31st, you have to be in costume."

Tickets for the one-off event are priced at $20 each (£12.40) and they are limited to two per customer.
