Ed Sheeran overwhelmed by success

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed that he can't believe the amount of success he has achieved in his career so far.

Writing on his official Twitter page this afternoon (October 29), the 'Lego House' hitmaker explained that it's important for him to look back and see the huge leaps of progress he has made singlehandedly:

"1st date of MSG is today, then two more, then the two and a half year tour for this album is done. what a way to end it. Thanks to the 175 people who came to the first date at Southampton Joiners, everyone at the gigs in between, and anyone coming to these."

His Madison Square Garden date sold out in just three minutes and he was then forced to add a second date due to popular demand. Sheeran added: "Oh and a special thanks to @marknofriend. we started off just me and him in a mini van."

This morning, Sheeran confirmed that he will be celebrating Halloween with a special intimate concert in New York City and if fans want to come they have to wear fancy dress.
