Ellie Goulding questioned her looks after not getting on magazine covers

Ellie Goulding has admitted that at one point she was worried about her looks because she wasn't getting on the front of magazines.

The singer reached No.1 in the UK with her 2010 debut album 'Lights' but she told ES magazine that she was confused about why she wasn't getting as much mainstream media coverage other artists.

This led her onto questioning her looks - but the Brit has now ditched the anxiety in favour of body confidence.

Goulding said: "At one time, I was getting all this musical success, but I wasn't getting all the things that went with it, like magazine covers. I was convinced for a long time I wasn't aesthetically pleasing enough. I would have to angle my face to hide the side of my nose, or my chin.

"Then I stopped caring. I let go. Put a different energy out there - then [the covers] all started to happen."
