Ellie Goulding on new Band Aid single: 'Everyone's going to throw any ego out the window'

Ellie Goulding believes there will be no egos in the room when the new Band Aid single is recorded.

A fresh version of the charity tune 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' is being cut to tape on Saturday (November 15) to raise funds for the battle against the deadly disease Ebola.

A host of big names have signed up to appear on the single, including One Direction, Adele and Ellie Goulding.

Speaking to Capital FM this week, Goulding said that she thinks people will lose any sense of ego because of the importance of the cause.

She said: "Sir Bob Geldof called me! And he was very lovely and he asked me over the phone. I was like, 'Have you got the right person?'. That was literally how it happened.

"I've performed in front of some of them before at various things but I think this is the kind of situation where I don't think anyone's going to be worried about that. I think that the cause is so important that I think everyone's going to throw any ego out the window.

"I think everyone's going to be really cool. The people that I've met before that are going to be down there are super cool. I think it's going to be really lovely."
