Ellie Goulding set to dethrone Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson from the No.1 spot on the singles chart

Songstress Ellie Goulding has shot straight to the No.1 spot on the UK singles chart in today's midweek update (February 4) with 'Love Me Like You Do'. 

Her song, which is on the soundtrack for the upcoming movie adaptation of 'Fifty Shades Of Grey', has a sales figure of over 77,000 at this midweek stage and is more than 50,000 copies ahead of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars with 'Uptown Funk' (No.2). 

Hozier's 'Take Me To Church' is down 1 to No.3, Mike Mago and Canadian synthpop group Dragonette have a new entry with 'Outlines' at No.4, and Meghan Trainor rounds off the Top 5 with her latest cut, 'Lips Are Movin''.

Irish rockers Kodaline are new in at No.34 with 'Honest' and Linkin Park’s 2004 collaboration with Jay Z on 'Numb/Encore' has re-entered the Top 40 at No.33 today.
