Songstress Ellie Goulding has revealed that she lives on just £5 per day because she has never been much of a big spender. 

During a new interview with Network Ten's The Project, the 'Love Me Like You Do' beauty admitted that she doesn't splash the cash and still maintains a university budget because that's how she used to live: 

"I haven't ever bought anything extravagant really, I buy a lot of clothes but I'm still in university mode, living off £5 a day and never affording anything."

Goulding went onto add that the only really significant purchase she made since hitting the big time was a house: "I haven't bought a car. I bought a house because I needed to live somewhere but as long as I've got a roof over my head, I'm fine."
