Ellie Goulding: 'Young women should have the freedom to wear what they want'

Ellie Goulding says women should be free to wear what they want without the fear of being 'slut-shamed'.

The singer told Canada's Flare magazine that she has often been criticised by trolls for posting pictures of herself online.

She said: "I have been [slut-shamed], 100 per cent, on social media. I work out a lot; I’m proud of my body.

"I put up a picture of myself, and people are like, 'Put it away; you’re supposed to be a good influence on young people'.

"Young women should have the freedom to post a picture with no make-up and wearing a tracksuit or in full make-up and a tight dress."

In the same interview, Goulding opened up about her battle with panic attacks that often left her stuck inside her own home.
