Ellie Goulding, despite her phenomenal success, still doesn't see herself as a "popstar". 

The 'Starry Eyed' singer-songwriter admitted to Pop Dash that she isn't fully aware of just how famous she is, and explained backstage at Radio 1's Big Weekend:

"It’s like that part of me is constantly blocked. I’ll never get to that stage where I’m like “Yeah I’m a popstar”. But I never take anything for granted. The fact I’m here playing a pop festival is awesome and the fact I have fans of my music who are here and the fact that there’s people from Carlisle who wouldn’t have seen me live before."

She also revealed that she's hard at work on her sophomore album and has exciting tour plans for later this year:

"I’m writing my new album and America’s going really well, we’re going back over there for a tour. My voice is different now. And the new songs are sounding cool."
