Emeli Sande reveals she 'learned a lot' from working with Alicia Keys

Emeli Sande has revealed she ‘learned a lot’ from Alicia Keys during their recent time in the studio together.

The 24-year-old, who has contributed to Keys’ forthcoming fifth studio album, and also worked with the US soul star on her own debut, 'Our Version Of Events,' told the Singersroom website that she enjoyed collaborating with such a talented artist:

"It’s very rare that you can go into a writing session and sit down at a piano and play with somebody, especially with another woman. I loved the whole experience and learned a lot from seeing how she works…I got a lot of advice from her about how to stay sane in the industry I guess."

The ‘Heaven’ hit-maker, who is currently battling it out with Michael Kiwanuka and Military Wives for today’s album chart number one spot, also admitted she’s finding it difficult to take all her recent success in:

“There’s just so much that’s been happening over the past few months, it’s hard to really sit back and acknowledge everything that’s going on. To have your full album, where you can really explain yourself as an artist, do so well, get to #1, it feels like a dream really.”
