In the year that marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of the godfather of music television, MTV, a new Music TV show is launched. FabSong hit our screens on Sky channel 191 in April 2021 and the response has been phenomenal.

FabSong is a unique programme allowing new, emerging and unsigned artists and bands the opportunity to showcase their music videos on a major TV platform. Think a homemade version of Top of the Pops featuring an eclectic mix of diverse acts, crossed with the early days of MTV - but for new and upcoming bands who would not normally get to showcase their talent on TV.

“At long last a platform that showcases raw new talent, a show that opens a door of opportunity for a range of emerging artists. This is a must watch.” – Judd Lander MPA

After a year of no open mic nights, no live performances or concerts, FabSong gives upcoming artists the opportunity to share their awesome home-brewed music videos on a major TV platform and the diversity of talent coming forwards is incredible.

During the pandemic pop stars and indie artists alike have taken new approaches to creating music and music videos. Artists have had to think out the box, rehearsing, jamming, compiling, and recording music videos in impromptu film studios in their bedrooms, box rooms and garages.

FabSong TV is the brainchild of impresario Rocco Buonvino - better known for his huge stage shows in London with names such as Al Pacino, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sir Cliff Richard, Whoopi Goldberg, Rod Stewart, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Douglas and Sophia Loren, and many more. But with the stages shut Rocco turned his attention to TV.

“Music is in my blood. I have worked with many big artists of all types over the years, but it still boils down to music. I know how many artists have struggled over the last year, so my mission and passion is about giving talent a platform on TV without red-tape politics” - Rocco Buonvino

Artists and bands submit their videos at www.fabsong.com and if selected are asked to pay a small one-off fee of £99 for eight airplays over a month, exposure via various social media platforms and PR. The fee helps cover some of the airtime and production costs so it’s a win-win for the artists and FabSong.

“The best one stop music programme ever!” – Chris Kimsey, Music Producer, Undercover-Music

“Any new music programming on TV at the moment is welcome but these guys are fantastic because they are giving extra support to indie artists. It is so rare that indie artists like me get the chance to be on National TV it is an amazing opportunity.” Graham Thorpe ‘gribbles’, indie amateur musician (aka ‘British electronic music wizard’) appearing on FabSong April.

FabSong can be viewed every Sunday (repeated following Saturday) from 2pm-3pm as part of the All About The Music TV series, three hours of back to back original music programming on Showcase TV, Sky Channel 191 from 12noon to 3pm every weekend in April, May and June. This means those chosen to appear on FabSong are rubbing shoulders with industry well-knows like legendary Music Producer Chris Kimsey (Meet The Producers), Radio DJ and TV presenter Mark Radcliffe (Live From The Edge) and extraordinarily talented singer and pianist, Tom Seals on his music celebrity chat show (Tom Seals Presents).
