Says CLO, “‘Sliding Doors’ is about having that burning desire for someone who you know deep down isn’t right for you. No matter how many times you try to convince yourself that it can’t work, you still end up right back together. The passion and love is so strong that it masks the real problems at the core of the relationship and the reality that this love will never work. Like in the bridge when I sing ‘We’re walking on a wire, but our feet are getting tired, keep trying to take it higher, but we always fall down’ shows the cycle of this troubled yet passionate relationship but then I end the song with ‘There you are.’ He’s always there, almost like my endgame love, my twin-flame. This song is so massive. I absolutely love the way it builds and the energy is just as intense as the love and lust encaptured in lyrics.”

“Sliding Doors (There You Are)'' follows CLO’s breakout single “Blackout” alongside a video with nightlife photographer and director Nikko Lamere (Noah Cyrus, Tiffany Young, Marina & The Diamonds). The song landed her coverage in LA Weekly, 1883 Magazine, Highlark Magazine and more plus spins on KROQ’s Locals Only Sunday radio show. Her follow up single was a cover of Kanye West's "Paranoid" released with a BTS video of CLO and her band in the famed Hollywood recording studio, Sunset Sound. To date, CLO has a combined 1 million plus streams on Spotify with over 150K monthly listeners and her YouTube videos have a combined 200K views. CLO recently released the 10-track Blackout Remixes album which landed her a premiere in Dancing Astronaut for BIICLA’s remix of the song.

About

California Bay Area native CLO's sound is a powerful blend of pop & soul that emerged organically growing up listening to greats like Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Her unapologetic and fearless streak lies in her appreciation for artists like Rihanna and Lady Gaga, and her soul roots were solidified by her inspiration- Amy Winehouse. There is no doubt about it, CLO's message is power and strength through adversity. She writes with emotional fire. Secure in her thoughts. It's this confidence and years of training that led to CLO's transition to Los Angeles, where she was discovered by go-to pop-rock producer Warren Huart (The Fray, Colbie Caillat, James Blunt). The pair's synergy was instant resulting in first single "Blackout” released summer of 2020--a retro soul permission slip to fade out the madness, becoming stronger and smarter. Accompanied by a video by Nikko Lamere, the song received support from KROQ, LA WEEKLY, 1883 Magazine, Highlark and more.
