Earlier this fall, electronic music auteur deadmau5 released “Hyperlandia,” a low-lit, slow-burning single featuring pop experimenters Foster the People followed by a fresh Lamorn remix of the track. Today (November 19), deadmau5’ label mau5trap has released the Hyperlandia EP—a five-track collection of different iterations of the song complete with new edits including the original instrumental mix and a new club mix.

“Hyperlandia” originated in 2016 as a beautiful atmospheric instrumental that was never released. Flashforward to 2021, deadmau5 revitalized the track with a mesmerizing vocal from pop artist Foster The People for a collaboration no one saw coming. Upon its release the song received support from such places as tastemaker radio outlets like KCRW and FLOOD FM as well as key online media destinations:
