Redditch’s own pop star Keri Whip has wowed the crowds with a star-studded performance at the NEC in Birmingham alongside Little Mix, Olly Murs and Jess Glynne.

29 year old Keri has been singing for a number of years, but only started writing her own tracks after signing with The Famous Company last year. Following the release of her infectious debut single ‘Ridiculous Me’ earlier this summer, Keri received praise from DJ’s around the UK. Released in a traditionally busy period for the music industry, Keri successfully beat international artists like Jason Derulo and Ariana Grande to chart at number 9 in the UK club charts.

Last month Keri made her NEC debut with a performance at Free Radio Live as part of a nationwide tour which has seen her perform at a number of high profile fireworks and Christmas lights events across the country. Earlier that day, Keri performed to huge crowds at Kingfisher Shopping Centre alongside X Factor’s Reggie N Bollie at the towns Christmas lights switch-on. This local performance was booked following the success of Keri’s appearance at the Pearl Izumi Tour Series when it visited Redditch, following which she spent the summer performing at various regional festivals across the UK.

Speaking about her whirlwind year since signing with The Famous Company, Keri said, “2016 will go in history as one of the best years for me in terms of music. I’ve had some amazing opportunities and finally feel like I’ve found myself as an artist. My management team and I have some incredible plans for 2017 which I’m excited to share with my fans. My new single has been mixed by top producer Cesar Mejia in LA. I’m looking forward to shooting my music video in January and touring throughout the summer.”
