'Whiskey Tears'- Kap Kallous: A smooth rendition of hip-hop and soulful nuance.

After a two-year hiatus, famous Los Angeles songwriter and rap artist Kap Kallous returns to the forefront today with the release of his latest single ‘Whiskey Tears”; a spirit infused ballad that’s iridescent personality relays a beautiful tone for the auricles.

After resurfacing back into the urban music scene with something a little bit different, the Florida-born songwriter has delivered us a sombre and infectious melody, telling a story of two souls caught in an alcoholic texting tango. The track’s bluesy nature and polished vocals Illustrate a picturesque development of character, stringing together a poetic rap song with strength and vivaciousness.

A Florida transplant in Los Angeles, Kap Kallous holds a truly unique standpoint as an artist, shaping his musical career on acts of boldness, relentless drive and killer live performances. Kap’s rendition of soulful-rap is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise oversaturated hip-hop landscape. The tour fuelled the fire to create his next album titled ‘December’, which explored a more ‘experimental’ oddity than previous works. During the release of the album, he succeeded his tour with ¡MayDay!, promoting the album in Canada and the United States as part of the Strange Music Group’s Future Vintage Tour.

As a musician and narrator, Kap has laced over the dirty details of the song with long-time collaborator David Grants, transmitting its meaning as a “sonic reminder that we all can get a little numb to the ones we love when the liquor does the typing; "no matter what you say you can't hurt me".

During his musical endeavours, he has frequently collaborated with the likes of Jon Connor (Aftermath Music) Caskey from YMCMB, Wrekonize and Lucky I Am. Throughout his career he has shared the stage with like-minded leading artists’ Sage Francis, Freeway, Twiztid, Devin the Dude and Slaughterhouse.

Reputable for his frequent and steady release of new and innovative music, Kap Kallous has remained steadfast to his extensive reach of proletarian fans.
