Spanish Wine is the latest single from Bristol based singer songwriter Clayton Denwood. Masterfully blending inspiration from folk, rock, country, blues and more, Clayton’s rootsy sound is one that feels comfortingly familiar yet original.

Taken from his forthcoming album Ain’t a Hope in Heaven, Spanish Wine features an all-star ‘classic rock & roll band set-up’ recorded at Bristol’s New Cut Studio’s and engineered by Scot McKenzie, with musicians including Ian Matthews of Kasabian (drums), Daniel "Babsy" Barry (guitar), the multi-award winning Jonny Henderson (hammond, wurlitzer), and Tom Kuras (bass).

Clayton’s expressive Dylan-esque songwriting capabilities are aptly matched with a folk/rock/americana appreciation and instrumentation leaving the listener with a classic-sounding yet refreshing track.

The complementary nostalgic harmonica introduction, and soaring guitar solo that lends itself to a classic rock style, feels reminiscent of some undoubtable greats for fans of classic rock and folk blues.

It comes as no surprise that Clayton’s finessed approach to this style of music is nothing short of exceptional - following on from his 2016 album Sacred Heart Blues, as well as an impressive back-catalogue of releases and appearances at iconic venues and festivals in the UK, US and Canada, Clayton Denwood is a name that is sure to become increasingly established in the industry.

Spanish Wine is out now on all major platforms.
