Fergie pleased to take a break from music

Fergie has expressed her joy at having routine back in her life as the Black Eyed Peas take a break.

Speaking on the Rachael Ray Show, Fergie admitted that whilst music is "in her blood", after years of touring, having a bit of downtime is good for the soul.

The break has given time for Fergie to "be a wife" as she indulges in some decorating and cleaning. She said:

"Don't get me wrong - [music is] in my blood, in my veins, it runs through it, but doing it for eight years in a row, sleeping in different beds, in different time zones, there's not much of a structure."

She added: "It's nice to come home and be a wife and get to start to decorate my house and do all of those things. I'm still cleaning out my closet and boxes in the garage of all the things, but it's cathartic for me. It's wonderful."
