Fergie: 'A new solo album is on the cards'

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has revealed plans to work on and release a new studio album in the future.

Speaking to Clevver News, the 'London Bridge' songstress explained that she has a fair amount of time on her hands at the moment so is spending it creatively and has been writing music:

"I'm just writing - I have a bit more time now to sit out at my balcony and get inspired and I'm doing a lot of that."

"With the chaos of a tour, I didn't get a lot of time to do that, so now I'm getting all these ideas and feelings and writing them down and kind of nurturing them."

When specifically asked if a new solo album will happen, Fergie said: "Oh yeah, it will come definitely. That's a promise. When is something I can't promise. When it's ready! I just want it to be great - I don't want to rush anything out. I just want to something that's real and feels organic and good. And that I'm proud of."
