Fifth Harmony on the meaning behind 'Bo$$': 'We can hold our own, we don't need you'

Girl group Fifth Harmony recently released their new single 'Bo$$', which is a female empowerment anthem about independence and strength, and the beauties have now opened up about what it means to them.

"A common stereotype is that a woman needs a man in order to be successful or that, for some reason, the man should bring the bread home and that the woman should just stay home... that was an old, serious thing back then."

"But basically the song is about a woman making her own success. We can hold our own... we like you, but we don't need you."

Fifth Harmony, meanwhile, are nominated for the Artist to Watch prize at the MTV Video Music Awards and they will go head to head with the likes of 5 Seconds Of Summer, Sam Smith, and Charli XCX.
