Fifth Harmony have announced details of their first UK single release.

The girl group, who found fame on the 2012 series of the US X Factor, will unleash 'Sledgehammer' in the country on December 7.

They will perform the tune on the semi-finals of the UK X Factor later this year.

The news comes after the quintet picked up the Best US Act prize at the 2014 MTV EMAs on Sunday (November 9).

Fifth Harmony's new song follows up their previous single 'BO$$', which reached No.43 in the US earlier this year.

Their debut album 'Reflection' is set to be released in their native America in December.
