Fifth Harmony praise Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato: 'They're so involved'

The beauties of Fifth Harmony were put together two years ago on 'X Factor USA' and recently sat down for an interview with Access Hollywood about how far they've come.

They kicked off the chat by confessing that their bond has grown stronger as they've spent more time together: "We're closer than ever. We've all experienced a lot together in the past two years and we've gotten a lot closer. We feel like we've honed into who we are as artists."

When asked who gets credit for their success, the girls explained that music mogul Simon Cowell would be the main point of contact for that kind of praise: "Simon gets a lot of the credit... for media purposes he gets a lot of the credit, but L.A. (Reid), Demi (Lovato), and Britney (Spears) were also involved. Demi likes to say it a lot, she'll say, 'I made them!' He's (Simon Cowell) a sweetheart. He's just a genuinely nice person and I feel that with the success that he's had - he's just so down to earth. He wears the same white T-shirt every day."

The 'Sledgehammer' superstars went onto add that Demi Lovato was - and still is - a huge inspiration to them as she's so honest and real:

"She's exactly the way that she is, she doesn't put on a front for anybody. She, like, got rid of that and she keeps it real. It's so brave of her to share her story with everyone and she's doing so many amazing things. She told us to stay true to ourselves and to make sure it's fun for everyone as it can get a little monotonous."
