Fifth Harmony talk exclusively to Pressparty about staying fit and pushing themselves

Girl group Fifth Harmony are enjoying incredible success around the globe at the moment and earlier tonight (July 8) members Dinah Jane Hansen and Camila Cabello took time out from their busy schedules to chat exclusively with Pressparty. 

Earlier this week, the 'Worth It' beauties spent time at the Zumba offices and hung out with the creator of the fitness program, Beto Perez. We asked the hitmakers about their incredible physiques and quizzed them on how they manage to stay in such amazing shape while balancing recording, performing and touring. 

We saw on your social media pages that you recently paid a visit to the Zumba headquarters (pictured below)! How was that?

Dinah Jane: "It was so much fun, we got some free gear! We all learned some new dance moves!”

How do you all manage to stay in such fantastic shape with your crazy schedules? Do you have a fitness routine or eating plan that helps you to be healthy?

Camila: "I never have a workout phase. I remember once, while we were out recording... it was the first time we were ever brought out to LA; they brought out a fitness instructor to get us all fit and healthy, and the first time... I remember the first 20 minutes because I had never worked out before in my life and I literally threw up. It's not for me; it's just not for me. I'll try, though... maybe."

"I think it's different for each of us. I know that Ally does Insanity - the Insanity workout, I know Dinah has these fits where she'll get her rage out at the gym at like 1am... (both laugh)..."

 

 

 

What about eating healthily? Is that something you try to do while you’re on the road?

Camila: "Um... we don't! Well, we try to. For me, sometimes, I try to. I go through a phase where I try to and then I'm like, 'oh, I miss Five Guys', which is a burger chain. I've have Five Guys about, like, five times this week. Life is too short and you'll make it shorter if you eat Five Guys, but whatever!" 

Dinah Jane: “We try to eat healthier just so we don’t get sick fast… we usually fill up our fridge with fruits, cereal, almond milk!”

Do you have a favourite kind of cereal that you always reach for?

Camila: “I really like Special K with strawberries.”

Dinah Jane: “I like Honey Bunches of Oats or Honey Nut Cheerios!”
