5H's Camila Cabello was really insecure when she met One Direction

Songstress Camila Cabello, of Fifth Harmony fame, has revealed that the first time she met boyband One Direction she was really insecure because her skin flared up.

She told People magazine about her experience with acne and confessed that she didn't really want to introduce herself to the heartthrobs because she was so self-conscious about her pimples:

"The first time I went to the Teen Choice Awards, I remember meeting One Direction and I was afraid to get to close to them. I was so over-thinking it because I thought they would look at my acne and I didn't realise how much acne can take a toll on a kid's self esteem. It got to the point where I couldn't have a conversation with someone."

Cabello went onto add that suffering from acne really knocked her confidence and she was so upset about it that she didn't even want to go on stage and perform:

"I think that we have all had our fair share of experiences with acne but for me, I actually never had acne until the first time we went on tour and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It was just all over my face and I just remember waking up and looking in the mirror and literally being afraid to look in the mirror because I would just cry. I didn't want to go on stage."
