5H's Normani: 'Rappers are really the smartest people'

Girl group Fifth Harmony are hard at work on their second album, but songstress Normani Kordei took a short break to chat with a magazine about her musical favourites.

During a new interview with Us Weekly, Normani Kordei was asked who she would like to be locked in a room with and picked rapper Wiz Khalifa: "We would have a really amazing conversation. He seems brainy. Rappers are really the smartest people.”

She also opened up about her admiration of hitmaker Nicki Minaj, adding: “Nicki Minaj is my queen! I’d just want to be her best friend forever.”

5H, meanwhile, will pick up the coveted Group of the Year prize at this year's Billboard Women in Music Awards, which is set to take place on December 11 in New York. Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media's Entertainment Group - who own Billboard - said:

"Fifth Harmony defines the consummate group dynamic: five women with a strong, united voice and a commitment to celebrating female empowerment. In the few short years since they formed on The X Factor this diverse group of women has managed to make chart-topping music, develop a legion of passionate fans around the world and use their platform to promote self-esteem. They do it all so well, the very definition of a 'Group of the Year'."
