Fifth Harmony's new album is 'more emotional and edgy'

Fifth Harmony star Ally Brooke Hernandez has revealed some more details about the group's next album.

The band released their debut effort 'Reflection' at the start of the year, but progress is being made on its follow-up.

Speaking to Fuse.TV, Hernandez said the quintet have been allowed more of a say about the direction of the music this time around.

She revealed: "We’ve had more control over this album this time, as much as we can. And I would say that the album has more urban, pop, R&B and a little bit of reggae.

"It’s going really well, and this will show a different side to us - kind of more emotional, but also a little edgier, too.

"We’re just talking about girl power and love and heartbreak and also just having a good time with your friends."

Fifth Harmony have worked with the likes of Max Martin and StarGate on new music.
