Fifth Harmony had 'a lot more creative say' in second album

Fifth Harmony say they were more involved creatively on their new album than on their last.

The girl group are due to unleash '7/27' on May 20 as the follow-up to 2015's debut 'Reflection'.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, singer Normani Kordei said the quintet have participated more in the making of the album.

She said: "We’ve had a lot more creative say. It’s more personal than the last."

Camila Cabello added: "I think on the 'Reflection album', and since we got off of X Factor, we tried to establish what the sound was for Fifth Harmony. What best represented us.

"With our first album, you heard the 808 urban-leaning drums as a skeleton in some of the songs, like ‘Boss’ and ‘Worth It'. You can hear that now in ‘Work From Home', and you’re gonna be hearing an expansion of that."

In the same interview, singer Ally Brooke Hernandez said the band had to fight to have a ballad on the record.
