Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke Hernandez has admitted that she used to have trouble with her self-image.

The US star told The Metro that she had issues with insecurity when she was younger.

However, the former X Factor contestant has now learnt to accept herself.

Hernandez said: "I used to be very insecure. It was awful. I used to ridicule myself for my image and personal things I didn't like about myself.

"It means more to me than anyone will ever know that I'm confident and love myself now because I went through so much."

Bandmate Lauren Jauregui meanwhile added about online trolls:

"You have a bunch of people on a regular basis [ready] to tear you down, telling you all the things you already feel insecure about in a very hurtful way."
