What we know so far about Fifth Harmony's new album

Girl group Fifth Harmony will release their highly anticipated new studio album '7/27' on May 27 and we've rounded up what we know so far about the exciting offering.

Back in July last year, we sat down with songstress Dinah Jane Hansen and asked her about 5H's plans and intentions for their upcoming new album. She told us:

"We’ve been talking about the direction – The girls and I have talked about what direction we want. We always try to… real lyrics and real instruments in there. Maybe like the Destiny’s Child vibe, we’d be fine with that. Sticking to our Spice Girls personality (laughs). Those are actually our biggest inspirations. Two biggest inspirations to us are Destiny’s Child and Spice Girls… so we’ve got a bit of U.S. and UK combined. We’re still going through the creative process. We’ll see what happens when the time gets closer!”

Earlier today, a snippet of their song 'That's My Girl' surfaced online as it's being used in a new advert for the 2016 Rio Olympics, and we have already heard 'Work From Home' and 'Write On Me' so we have a sense of the record's overall vibe.

In April, Fifth Harmony told ODE that their ethnicities and individual tastes will be represented on this album:

“You’ll definitely feel a lot of different things. This album is very diverse just because all five of us have very different tastes in music still, but I think so far our ethnicities are very involved in this, sound-wise. Like maybe there’ll be some reggae vibes and some hipster vibes... some stuff that we love and were inspired by throughout the year after ‘Reflection’ came out.”
