Fifth Harmony pay tribute to Christina Grimmie in NYC

Fifth Harmony led tributes to Christina Grimmie at New York's WBLI Summer Jam on Saturday (June 11).

The group asked the audience to give a moment of silence to the slain singer.

The former Voice star was shot and killed earlier that day by Kevin James Loibl after meeting fans outside a venue in Orlando.

Speaking at the band's New York gig, Fifth Harmony singer Normani Kordei praised Grimmie's talent and personality.

She said: "Such a beautiful soul, such a beautiful talent.

"From the moment that we met she was always nice to us. So humble. We love you and we are praying for your family.

"And we know you are smiling down from above. Let's all bow our heads down. Christina Grimmie."

Loibl turned the gun on himself after murdering Grimmie, with the singer's brother Marcus attempting to tackle the gunman during the tragic incident.
