Fifth Harmony defend Little Mix after they face criticism for stage outfits

"Write On Me" hitmakers Fifth Harmony have spoken out in support of their contemporaries Little Mix, who were recently slammed for wearing revealing outfits during a live performance on The X Factor in the UK.

Little Mix took to the stage on October 16 to perform their single "Shout Out To My Ex" and they were criticised for the costumes they wore, but the 5H girls rushed to defend them in an interview with Official Charts.

Member Ally Brooke Hernandez had nothing but praise for Little Mix's rendition of the song and said: "Oh, it was fabulous! They sounded fabulous, they were fabulous, they are fabulous!”

Songstress Normani Kordei then likened the backlash they faced to the struggles they've encountered, and admitted that similar comments were aimed at them after releasing their "Work From Home" music video:

"It definitely makes me query as to where we are in the world right now, though. We definitely do get [criticism] sometimes. I remember when the ‘Work From [Home]’ video came out and people had a bunch to say."

“We’re women and we want to embrace that, so whatever makes us feel good. We work really hard every single day and we want that to be seen, and we want to be confident. If I want to wear shorts or a crop top, that doesn’t necessarily make [me] a slut. It just means I’m confident in my body because I work really hard for it!"
