Foo Fighters set for 5-night 'Late Show' residency

To promote and celebrate the release of their highly anticipated new album 'Sonic Highways', iconic rock band Foo Fighters will play a special 5-night residency on the 'Late Show with David Letterman'. 

The band will perform live on the show for 5 consecutive nights, beginning next Monday (October 13), and they are set to run through a collection of tracks that helped inspire their new album while on the popular programme. 

A press release about their upcoming live slots on 'The Late Show', which airs nightly at 11.35pm ET on CBS, explains that they will be joined by special guests. Frontman Dave Grohl will also sit down for a special interview with David Letterman on the Monday, October 13 show. 

Additionally, Grohl's documentary series, which is also titled 'Sonic Highways', is due to premiere on HBO later this month on October 17.
