Foo Fighters score a number 1 with 'Wasting Light'

After an incredible 11 consecutive weeks at number 1 in the UK album charts, Adele has finally given up her throne to Seattle rockers Foo Fighters with their new record, 'Wasting Light'.

The band went straight in at the top spot today, Sunday, April 17, after showing great potential during the midweek chart update. Dave Grohl spoke to Radio 1's Newsbeat about making 'Wasting Light' in his garage rather than in a 'clinical' studio and described it as the "perfect existence, for any band":

"The way we've always done things - we've always been the ones to determine how and when we make a record"

Adele's '21' is now at 2 and her debut album, '19', follows closely behind at 3 whilst Glee's 'The Music Vol. 5' is a new entry at 4. Watch Foo Fighters' latest installment of their live garage sessions here:
