Dave Grohl says modern musicians are "robbed" of their personalities

Dave Grohl, frontman with the Foo Fighters, has revealed that modern drummers have been stripped of their personalities because of the increased use of drum machines and digitally-enhanced production.

Speaking to The Sun about the state of the industry, Grohl explained:

"All that shit ruins music these days. Drum machines work for pop artists but when it comes to rock 'n' roll - don't fuck with the human element."

Foo Fighters famously decided to return to analogue equipment when recording their most recent album, 'Wasting Light', and the results have been staggering. Grohl added:

"I had favourite drummers because of their inconsistencies. Modern production has robbed drummers of personalities and it really pisses me off."
