PFLAG Durham Region and the Glambert Angels would like to thank all Glamberts that donated Adam's CDs and tour merchandise to PFLAG Canada Durham Region "Camp Rainbow Phoenix" Summer Youth Leadership camp.

Camp Rainbow Phoenix is an adult-facilitated and peer-mentored residential style summer leadership camp for youth ages 13 to 17. The precise location of the camp, somewhere within Durham Region, Ontario, is kept confidential to protect the campers. The camp is 5 days of learning, fun, and making new friends. (The camp is being run from August 22 to 26.)  Youth Leadership Camp focuses on building and nurturing the leadership potential and personal resiliency of youth in an effort to help them become agents of positive social change in their schools, families, and communities.

Our goal of providing each of the 60 campers with an Adam CD was exceeded with 71 Adam Lambert CDs donated!  Thanks to the generosity of Adam's fans, the camp's volunteers will receive an Adam CD as well! Fans also donated Adam tour merchandise and a cross shoulder hiking knapsack filled with items that a child will find useful at camp - these will be used as prizes for the campers.

Camp Rainbow Phoenix is run by experienced volunteers (including educators, community leaders and child & youth workers), and the campers attend for free, on a first-come-first-served basis, thanks to generous donations from our community sponsors.
