Global’s Make Some Noise, the official charity of the Media & Entertainment group Global, has launched an Emergency Appeal to help those hit hardest by coronavirus in our communities. Stars including Stormzy, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, Craig David, Chris Martin, Little Mix, Gary Barlow and Ed Sheeran are getting behind the appeal, showing their support by donating a host of incredible ‘money can’t buy’ prizes to raise funds for small charities that are helping those experiencing grief, poverty, domestic abuse, loneliness, illness and mental health problems, as well as carers and care workers.

Fans can win private virtual gigs and video calls some of the world’s biggest artists. A host of prizes will be given away on air on Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA and Gold, and via a star-studded charity auction which features donations from artists, sports stars and presenters from Global’s radio stations.

One of the world’s biggest stars, Katy Perry, will give one lucky winner an exclusive private video call, which she has donated to the charity auction. Little Mix are giving fans the chance to join them for a gossip on their very own exclusive video chats (listen to Capital and Heart for details on how to be in with a chance of winning). Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall said: “We think Global’s Make Some Noise Emergency Appeal is incredible so we really wanted to help in some way”, with Jesy Nelson adding: “The winner can have a tour of our houses, ask us whatever they want and ask us all the juicy goss!”

The Global’s Make Some Noise charity auction offers fans the chance to bid for spectacular prizes including private virtual gigs from Freya Ridings, HRVY and Tom Walker, their very own virtual quiz night hosted by Olly Murs as the cheeky chappy turns quizmaster for the evening, as well as handwritten lyrics from Gary Barlow, who will handwrite and sign the lyrics for Take That’s much loved song ‘Back For Good’. Chris Martin is also donating hand-written lyrics to the epic Coldplay hit ‘Fix You’. Anne-Marie is also donating a video call plus the incredible Henry Holland silver jacket she wore at Capital’s Summertime Ball in 2019.

Stormzy is giving fans the chance to attend his next UK tour date and meet him at an exclusive meet & greet (listen to Capital & Capital XTRA for the chance to win), as is Ed Sheeran (fans can listen to Heart & Capital for the chance to win). Radio X listeners can win a Fender Jazzmaster guitar signed by Noel Gallagher.

Fans can also bid to see Lewis Capaldi at the O2 from their own private box, VIP tickets to see Dua Lipa, plus signed merch from Sam Smith, Young T and Bugsey, KSI and Aitch. Sigala is donating a virtual masterclass in the art of production, Jonas Blue is donating a virtual DJ coaching session and Sam Fischer is giving fans the chance to duet with him via video call.

Global’s radio presenters are also supporting the charity emergency appeal, offering a range of prizes. Heart Breakfast Showbiz presenter and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts will teach one winner and nine friends how to dance Pussycat Dolls-style with a virtual dance tutorial. Heart Breakfast’s Amanda Holden is donating her iconic ‘Heart Make Me a Millionaire’ bespoke money ballgown dress, plus fans can bid on a virtual cookery class courtesy of Heart’s Kelly Brook, a personal video message from Smooth’s Myleene Klass, a virtual cuppa and chat with Smooth’s Angie Greaves, a virtual cocktail making class with Spencer Matthews and Heart’s Vogue Williams, a virtual fitness class with Heart’s Mark Wright and even a virtual gardening tutorial from Classic FM’s Alan Titchmarsh.

This Friday 19th June sees the Global’s Make Some Noise Emergency Appeal on air, and Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Gold and PopBuzz will be coming together to raise money for those hit hardest by coronavirus in our communities.

Elsewhere across Global’s radio stations, Heart Breakfast’s Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden are shining a light on fundraising heroes from small charities around the country with Jamie & Amanda’s Charity Challengers. Radio X’s The Chris Moyles Show hosted their annual ‘Pubcast’ as a live video broadcast.
