Capital, the UK’s no.1 hit music brand, and Barclaycard today (Friday 13th August), announced the third gig in this summer’s Capital Up Close series of live music events.

On Tuesday 31st August, Capital Up Close presents Years & Years with Barclaycard will see Years & Years performing a hit-filled set to a live audience at London’s Under the Bridge, with the gig also streamed live on Global Player. This is the third in-person event from Global and Barclaycard’s series Capital Up Close in London’s Under the Bridge venue, after Anne-Marie and Mabel played live gigs over the summer.

Olly Alexander will also chat to Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp, Sonny Jay and Sian Welby, who will host the intimate gig.

Years & Years are known for hit songs including ‘King’, ‘Breathe’ and The Official Big Top 40 no.1 ‘Starstruck’ and have collaborated with artists including Kylie Minogue, Jax Jones and MNEK. Olly Alexander is also renowned for playing the lead in Russell T Davies’ acclaimed drama It’s A Sin. His cover of the Pet Shop Boys’ track which inspired the show’s title – which he released with Elton John earlier this year – went straight to no.1 on The Official Big Top 40.

Fans will be able to win tickets to the exclusive live show by listening to Capital, plus the Barclaycard prize draw offers extra chances to win online.

The Capital Up Close series features three exclusive gigs from Capital and Barclaycard this summer as part of Barclaycard’s three-year partnership with Global, the Media & Entertainment group. It follows hugely successful virtual events from Global and Barclaycard such as The Best of Capital’s Summertime Ball, The Best of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball and Capital Up Close presents Liam Payne. This is the third in-person event from Global and Barclaycard’s multi-year entertainment partnership after Anne-Marie and Mabel played live gigs this summer.
