Airways headline 5 date UK tour in early July

At the beginning of July, Peterborough rockers Airways will play 5 headline shows in support of their debut EP “Starting to Spin”. The EP features 5 tracks that are all very different from each other but connected through lead singer Jake’s voice and quirky lyrics.

The band has seen continued support from Spotify, BBC Introducing, and Radio 1 already. Airways worked with producers Julian Emery (Nothing but Thieves, Lissie, McFly) and Dom Craik (Guitarist of Nothing but Thieves) on “Starting to Spin” this past November. The EP shows influence from bands like Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, and Cage the Elephant.

After just returning from a full UK tour with Nothing but Thieves a few weeks ago, the band is buzzing to get back on the road. Their headline tour will be heading to Manchester, Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham, and London. Tickets have been selling quickly and several shows are already anticipated to sell out!

Airways is a recently formed indie rock group with Jake (vocals/guitar) and Alex (guitar) from Peterborough, Jamie (Bass) from Birmingham, and Brian (drums) who moved from Chicago to join the band. After releasing their second single, One Foot, the band gained attention throughout the industry and supported Nothing but Thieves, The Hunna, and Sunset Sons on full UK tours. Airways also showcased in America at SXSW 2017.
