Sydney via DR Congo artist E.T. Le Createur shares new single "Lucid Dreaming"

(July 24, 2017) - Sydney based electronic artist E.T. Le Createur is thrilled to release his new single “Lucid Dreaming.” Lead by E.T.’s signature mix of afrobeat and deep house production, “Lucid Dreaming” is a mystical dance single that beautifully blends his DR Congo origins with his precise ear for modern stylings.

Given name Etima Lokondo, E.T. was born in DR Congo in 1991 to a politically established family who worked for the acting president, Mobutu Sese Seko, up until he was overthrown in 1997 by Laurent Desire Kabila with the help of mercenaries from Rwanda, Zimbabwe, and other African countries. Etima's family quickly dispersed throughout the Congo and the world looking for political asylum, but Etima remained in Congo with his grandmother despite the civil unrest throughout the country.

Then, in 2001, Etima and one of his closest friends Aura were kidnapped with eight other children by masked mercenaries while playing in the neighborhood. He was held hostage for 6 days until he and a few other children were rescued. Unfortunately, Aura was left behind and Etima is still unsure of what happened to her. Still to this day, he has extremely vivid dreams about her and that is what inspired him to make "Lucid Dreaming."

E.T. Le Createur sings, “in my dreams, I’m the King, you’re the queen,” as an ode to his once friend. It’s an incredibly rich story that E.T. hopes will shed light on the past and current tragedies in DR Congo. E.T. Le Createur will be releasing a music video for “Lucid Dreaming” in the near future!
