(Los Angeles, CA; January 26, 2018) - Sacramento’s newest Thump Records signees Back2Brown share their debut single “Something About You” today, January 26, 2018. The track opens with Alyssa’s angelic vocals hitting the hook as YC Deniro, AG The Mack, and Yung Ant take turns spilling introspective bars about their different relationships. The guitar driven production is complimented by the funky bass and West Coast synths, clearly bringing back that classic underground sound.

Lock Down and Thump Records have joined forces to bring you the new generation of hip hop from La Raza. Back2Brown is YC Deniro, AG The Mack, Yung Ant, and Alyssa Alves. The foursome came together at the suggestion of JuneBug Slim, who happens to be YC Deniro’s father. The idea was to bring back classic Latin hip hop and mix it with today’s new vibe to create the sound of Back2Brown. The Sacramento group all had deep ties to the underground hip hop world, citing artists like Lighter Shade of Brown, NB Ridaz, and Kid Frost as some of their biggest inspirations.

Back2Brown will be making their way to the Lowrider Arizona Super Show in Phoenix on February 24th. They’ll definitely be making stops throughout the SouthWest in 2018 and will be sharing more music along the way. “Something About You” is only the debut single from Back2Brown, so keep an eye out for more exciting news from the group.
