Gwyneth Paltrow on Chris Martin marriage: 'Musicians have a certain temperament that is challenging'

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted that while her marriage to Coldplay's frontman is fantastic it can be difficult to live with a musician.

Speaking about her relationship to America's InStyle magazine, the superstar explained that giving Chris Martin space to be creative is important because rock stars have a temperament that can be tricky to deal with:

"Our artistic temperaments together [is the hardest part]. Artists are sensitive. There are ups and downs, mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write. The temperament that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging."

She also revealed that the glue that holds them together as a couple and family unit is humour, adding: "We laugh a lot, and at the same jokes. We like the same music and we like to do the same things."

Talking about her children, Apple and Moses, Paltrow said that she sometimes thinks that expanding her family would be a good idea but her age might be an issue: "My brain says, 'Oh, I think I'm done, the kids are so big now, and I don't want to go back to changing diapers.' But a part of me would love to have another. Of course, I'm old now!"
