Haim on long-awaited second album: 'It'll be out this year'

'Days Are Gone' hitmakers Haim have opened up about their long-awaited sophomore album and confessed that it's on its way.

Danielle explained to BBC Newsbeat that they aren't talking about their second album because they're quite secretive about their progress: "If you remember us around our first record we didn't say anything - we're a very secretive band."

Alana Haim added that they're in no rush, but the record should be released later in 2016:

"We like to take our time. We know how important it is. Believe me if I could release it now I would but we've got to just bake it a little bit more. It'll be out this year."

She also teased the sound of the band's new material: "We're a rock band and we love samples and keyboards but we've been playing more guitar. We're really excited about the songs we've written."
