Australian sibling supergroup Sheppard have just revealed the video for their new musical offering, in the form of track Edge Of The Night. The band are making a leap from their world-famous infectious pop sound to a new brand of 80’s funk on their new single, out now via Decca Records. Watch the video here, and listen/download here. 

Written during a session in September 2016, the band set out to create an authentic funk-inspired pop song, spending an entire day listening to old-school funk records and playing around with Juno synths and vintage pedals to create their ode to ending a hard work week with a glorious weekend of partying.

“Edge of the Night isn’t your typical Sheppard track,” said George Sheppard. “It's a tongue in cheek funk pop throwback to house parties and old school vibes. It's an opportunity for us to let our hair down and try something completely different.”

Adding some undeniable hooks, a sprinkling of funk and an unmistakably catchy baritone growl, Edge of the Night shows the band jumping effortlessly from the airwaves to the dancefloor. A clear standout from their recent stadium shows with Justin Bieber in Australia, the song makes its international debut as the band tour the UK with join Little Mix on their Summer Shout Out Tour. Lasst remaining Little Mix dates can be found below. Sheppard also recently joined Bieber once again, this time closing the Barclaycard Stage at London’s BST Festival. Last month Sheppard played a headline show at Glasgow’s Garage and they will be hitting The Lexington in London for a headline show, tomorrow night.
